Most Website Developers for small business and non-profit websites develop in WordPress. Unfortunately, though, WordPress is typically not the right platform for most smaller organizations. WordPress is a highly complex platform that has a much higher security risk, requires extensive ongoing maintenance, requires a much higher level of technical ability (or ongoing support from a Web Developer who truly understands coding and the technical intricacies of WordPress), and advanced skills in learning new technology. In my experience, I have found that small businesses and non-profits much prefer an easier-to-manage platform. That is why we develop on Duda (www.duda.co), which is similar to Wix or Squarespace, but better designed for SEO and with exceptional customer support.
